Well, here I am, finishing my first day at TriBeca Films. The office is tres chic. The people are nice.
Today, I brought Mr.DeNiro (or rather, his personal assistant) his mail, which included personal mail from Ilia Kazan (he makes very loopy letters).
I did a mailing which included sending info for the upcoming film festival to at least 100 of the most famous people in the world today [matthew broderick/Sarah Jessica, Michael Moore, Heather Grahm, and Susan sarandon were on the list. I now know where they live. I can't afford to even look at any of the buildings].
I read the newest version of the script to "Meet The Fockers", the sequal to "Meet the Parents", set to star DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman at the feuding fathers-in-law. Hilarity and toilet humor insue. They live happily ever after.
and now, I'm here, documenting it.
Other than that, this was one of the most boring days of my life. Where I am/What I'm doing here is way more glam SOUNDING than it actually is. It's really not bad at all, don't get me wrong. But pretty much as soon as I walked in here, i realized that the department I'm working in really isn't going to get me anywhere in my attempt to launch my career. I mostly do office work and read scripts. Which is fine. But unfulfilling.
Too bad I'm not down in development.
