chrissigrl: (Shut up.)
seeing as how I've sacrificed any semblance of a social life for my art [ie, I started rehearsals on this play and now all I do is run lines or type data reports], I don't have any "I-live-in-New-York-so-crazy-and/or-interesting-things-happen-to-me-all-the-time" stories, and probably won't until the show opens in October. BUT, for those keeping score {just Chris and Rachel, most likely}, a quick breakdown:

The Good: I'm working with a good group of people, most of whom have made it really easy to jump into a cast who have already worked with each other twice before. Also, I'm working within a style of direction I really like. The director sits on the same level as us while we're working the scenes, so i down have to shout questions at her across the studio. ALSO, at the end of yesterday's rehearsal, she went so far as to say "Christina, I think you're my favorite actor to play Janet so far." Considering this is the 3rd run of the play, I garner this as quite the compliment.

The Bad: Arriving at the first read-through and being handed not an entirely new, but essentially different script than the one I've been cramming for the past 3 weeks. Now I'm back at square one on learning my lines, for the most part.

The Ugly: This very comprehensive website of the show. The producers show essentially everything we're working on, right down to clips videotaped at each rehearsal. So basically, now there's a location on the internet streaming clips of me acting like a bumbling idiot, 24 hours a day.

Everybody else is good, though. You guys might just have to come see this one.
