corporate appropriate
Oct. 5th, 2005 09:54 amEveryone keeps commenting on how very Corporate America my ensemble-suit skirt and a white fitted button down- is today. I keep saying, "Thank you,", but really, is that what you're supposed to say? It's not like everyone is COMPLIMENTING my very professional choice of outfit today; they're merely commenting on it. That's not really a situation that warrants a "Thank you," but I have to say something, non?
Only Danielle pegged it right. As she got out of the elevator bank, she said, "That looks like a very MorgStan type of outfit. Out of clean business casual clothes, are you?"
"Yes. Yes I am," I said, "Thank you for noticing."
In TV-that-I-have-to-watch-on-vhs-tape news, my new word to work into everyday conversation, courtesy of last night's Gilmore Girls, is "Snarcastic" - the compound tense of "SNARKY" and "SARCASTIC". Two of my favorite words, together at last! I was dissapointed to hear I missed the Prime-Time viewing party, with very special celebrity guest
capearce, though.
