I sit in a cube too. It's normally lame, and boring, and it totally dulls down my normally pointy sharp sense of humour. Things don't make me laugh. Like, ever.

BUT!

IWIWAL by Loudon Wainright III just came up on my Pandora station {oh, you don't have one of those? you should get one. www.pandora.com}, and It totally cracked my little dull-wall facade i use on my sense of humour from the hours of 9-5.

This is me, laughing out loud. In my cube. You should try it.

Al-rite. Enough. Am I the only one in this city that is completely over hearing about David Blaine and his retarded exploits? Okay, his magic tricks are pretty cool, I will give you that. But this whole Holier-than-thou-I'm-on-another-plain-endurance-test crap is just beyond me. It's one thing to actively push your body, say, if you were training for a triathalon or something. But sitting in a coffin of ice/platform over Times Square/custom build saltwater sphere for however long? It just sounds to me like Mr.Blaine was born without common sense. It's like saying, "Okay, I know that lighting myself on fire will probably burn my skin off... but I'm going to soak in kerosene for 4 days and then strike a match... just to see what happens!

And... AND... the public just goes for it! People stream to Lincoln Center by the thousands to "Show their support" for the man in the salt water bubble.... and what makes me even more aggravated about his choice of a location, AKA one of the Cultural Epicenters of the Western world, is that thie is probably the first time a large percentage of those people have ever been to Lincoln Center, and it's not to see an opera, or the ballet... it's to see David Blaine's skin peel off and poke at his catheter bag. disgusting.

Okay, I'm done /rant.
