What's that song, you know, that pseudo power ballad from the 80's where the hook starts out, "...Try to understand, TRY to understand..."

because it's annoyinglingly rotating around in my head and has been all morning.

I win a day off from work because I feel really sick and also it doesn't help I set my alarm clock 12 hours off?

Yay!

If it came out before I was born, I relieve myself from knowing the exact year of release.

also, the original statement was "from like the 80's", but I thought that would be bad grammar so I just left it at that. at least I was close.

I can't tell you many details about the release dates for songs by Stephen Foster and George M. Cohan, so I guess it's all relative.

You are not allowed to be my roommate since you didn't know what song that was.

Sorry.

I dig. I'll start packing when I get home later. my lack of music knowledge is unacceptable. But I DO want to bring it to your attention, that before I started driving by myself [radio commando], I was only privy to Mom's music {jazz/Classical}, Dad's music {Male classic rock}, and my music {showtunes.} Nobody liked Heart. But whatever, I get it. Just don't start throwing my shit out in the courtyard until I get home, ok?
thanks.

Since your friends are apparently good at this game, give me a hand...

In the Elton John song "Rocket Man", after he says "I'm a rocket maaaaan...", what's the next line? I remember it being completely unintelligible, but the people around me are looking at me funny because I'm sort of singing and mumbling at the same time.

Your friend,
Stephen

P.S.- My name is not Stephen
